GTA SA ‐ How to Install RoSA Evolved (2025) - jessicanataliagta/tutorials_for_gta GitHub Wiki

Important notes

  • Rename your game folder for something like "Grand Theft Auto San Andreas - Modded" to avoid Steam or Rockstar Launcher resetting the game files.
    image

  • You NEED to install the mod in a clean/fresh install of the game, you can put more mods on top of it later.

  • There is a tutorial for SAMP at bottom of this page. And it's not possible to run the mod on MTA.

Before anything, you need to make sure you have the version 1.0 of the game. If your game version is from Steam or Rockstar Games Launcher, then you need to downgrade the game. You can downgrade with this or this.

INSTALLING ROSA EVOLVED INTO YOUR GAME

1-Download the Essentials pack and extract into your game's root folder, replace files when asked.
image
2-Download MixSets (password: mixmods.com.br) and extract to ModLoader folder. Your AV might block the file, but don't worry, MixSets was made by MixMods owner, its open source and safe to use. If you still don't trust, you can set "MemoryAvailable = 1024" on Open Limit Adjuster.

3-Open MixSets.ini with windows notepad, search for "StreamMemory" and set as "1024" and optionally you can search for "Anisotropic" and set as 8 or 16.
image
4- Extract RoSA Evolved folders to ModLoader folder.
image
5- Run the game, Go to "OPTIONS" "MOD CONFIGURATION" "MODIFICATIONS" and select RoSA Evolved folder. image
6- Decrease the mod priority number, I set as 15, but you can select anything bellow 50.
To decrease the number, just put the mouse on top of "PRIORITY" and hit your keyboard left arrow.

Quit the game and open again, now RoSA Evolved is installed in your game, enjoy!

image If your game crashes or have other issues, you certainly made a mistake (like forgetting to increase the game memory on mixsets etc), Go back and do the process again with more attention or go on mixmods discord to get support.
