Tell the complete story of a lowly surf working his way up to, against all odds, somehow come into contact with the highest power known to him, e.g. the king of the planet. After that, tell the story of the king, or an adjacent character, who similarly uncovers the reality of power structures larger than he could have imagined. Repeat, until finally telling a story from the perspective of the God-Emperor himself.
