The God-Emperor, or TGE, lives in the center of the galaxy and rules the galactic empire with an iron fist. He obviously has plans of expanding to other galaxies once this one is fully exploited, but that’s easier said than done. The Milky Way is eighty-seven thousand light-years wide. That means the God-Emperor needs to somehow maintain control over the outer reaches of the galaxy with a forty-three millennium communication delay.
