Hallstatt in Austria is something out of a dream.

... the hiking is wonderful. I went off on my own into alpine forests.

...and there is plenty of nature to see.

.. and finally the people were awesome...

I lost my wallet here. When retracing my steps, the nice lady in the supermarket told me a wallet had been handed in to City Hall by a young child. The lady took me there and all 100+ euros, credit cards and driving license were still in there.

Hallstatt gets overwhelmed (ruined?) by day trippers. Don't do that. Stay the night and explore the neighbouring mountains and give this beautiful place the time it deserves.
