Capstone update

Not too much to report this week. I continued working on designing my website. The website is pretty close to being done based on the current phase of my research. I deleted two pages from the website, the blog and the tools page, since I don't think these will be used in the future. I also added a mission page that will give our goals as a research team and some background on our research. Still playing around with how to format images so that they're a good size and sit where I want them to on a page. I also updated the research page which will mostly be used to show our publications. Since we don't have any publications at the moment I added two publications from my past project as examples. What's great about the website template is that all you need to add a publication is the doi. Based on the code in the template, it will automatically grab the author, published year, and title, then post the publication on the website. I also added the journal logo image to make it look nicer but isn't required. Just needing the doi is great for future students that may be adding to the website. I mentioned the steps in the wiki so it shouldn't be too confusing.

The one problem I did notice had less to do with the template and probably more to do with GitHub pages. I notice that when I try googling for my website with very specific words listed, that google cannot find my website. Not sure if this is something in the setting I should fix or the way the google search algorithm works. Anyhow, the reason I mention this is that it means people need the URL if they want to look at the website, which can be a little annoying depending on the situation.
