bucket_delete_folder - jaybgager/tracertools GitHub Wiki

This function deletes a folder and all its contents on a cloudfiles-managed S3-style bucket. Requires permission to write to the bucket.

Arguments:

• folder_path (string, mandatory)
  • the absolute path to the directory you want to delete

Example

INPUT:

import tracertools as tt

tt.bucket_delete_folder(
    folder_path = "bucket://path/to/folder",
)

When you run this code, a prompt with a text entry field will appear, saying:

!!!WARNING!!! Are you sure you want to delete the entire folder bucket://path/to/folder and all X files contained within it? 
If so type 'delete' and hit enter. (Press 'Enter' to confirm or 'Escape' to cancel)

Type delete and press enter to delete the folder.

OUTPUT:

Folder bucket://path/to/folder and all its contents have been deleted.
