Ornamnetal trees are miniature versions of Vanilla and modded Minecraft trees. They are generally much smaller, taking a footprint of 3x3 to 5x5, and have a wood post trunk instead of full logs. Ornamental trees must be artificially grown.

Growing

Ornamental trees are grown from standard saplings. Any sapling planted in a large flower pot or on a block of garden soil will grow into an ornamental version when bonemeal is applied. A sapling planted anywhere can also be grown into an ornamental version if compost is applied to it in place of bonemeal.

Mod Compatibility

While third party mod wood blocks will be detected to create corresponding wood post blocks, explicit compatibility is required to create ornamental tree variants. Built-in support is provided for several mods, and other mods may internally add support themselves. A partial list of supported mods is:
