Complete 1 (A-), 2 (A), or 3 (A+) of the following options:

  • Solder up 2x working flashlight PCB's. One lab partner must solder each.
    • On the top of the LED's, the green bit should be on the outside. Equivalently, Oo the bottom of the LED's, the "arrow" (very pixelated) should be pointing out.
  • Create a working planetary gearbox using LAYOUT and a 3D-printer. Include a handle or two. Inspiration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=TzJkD87eQNI
    • In LAYOUT, use the "metric internal gear" for the ring gear (internal because the teeth are on the inside of the gear).
  • Make a copy of your robot arm out of metal.
  • Write a 1-2 page research report on any number of the following robotic systems explaining a bit about each of their history, principle of operation, and envisioned applications.
