Most power armor mods add a way to get a full set of the power armor right from the start of the game. Power Armor to the People makes changes to this so that the sets fit into the progression when starting a new game, with full sets either removed, turned into partial sets, or moved behind locked doors depending on how high level the set is.

Note: This feature does not affect Creation Club power armor, since they come with a quest to retrieve them and cost real money. I personally use Creation Club Delayed to offset this (thanks to jsalex for pointing this out).

  • There is a configuration setting to permanently restore the power armor placement from the original mods, in which case the above table does not apply. For power armor sets that were replaced with a unique enemy, this may mean the unique enemy will show up regardless of player level.
  • The bunker west of the Glowing Sea Vertibird Wreckage is added by the Hellfire X-03 mod, and is only available if that mod is installed
  • The containment storage corridor in Sentinel Site is added by the Enclave X-02 Black Devil mod, and is only available if that mod is installed
  • The Enclave hideout near the Boston Airport is added by the Enclave Power Armor mod, and is only available if that mod is installed
  • The basement northwest of Nahant Police Department is added by the SE-01 Power Armor mod, and is only available if that mod is installed
  • The Lexington Maintenance Tunnels are added by the Soviet Power Armor mod

Optional Abandoned Power Armor Changes

With the optional Abandoned Power Armor Changes patch, the power armor placed in the original game gets changed. Most sets that are out in the open are removed, but those behind locked doors remain and some are changed to Enclave leveled sets. The following is a complete list of all of the abandoned sets that remain:
