Initial comms

  • note from JP to describe

    • solicit early adopters?

Early Adopters phase

  • approx 4 staff who will try using the system, probably with paper as backup
  • looking for bugs and usability enhancements
  • one-hour walkthrough with them plus availability for support
  • quick debrief by email/sling after each shift (supplemented by phone if desired)
  • this phase would last about a week, possibly two
  • during this time development team would tweak system based on feedback
  • coordinator/devs would develop visual aids (e.g. wall sheet of usage) and written system documentation
  • coordinator draft updates to procedures manual as required

Training

  • group training walkthrough via zoom
  • written instructions available
  • covers:
    • system startup
    • regular use
    • workflow
    • common problems
      • e.g. forgot to enter a check-in or check-out, wrong data, entered wrong tag, etc
    • day-end
    • how to report problems or errors

Rollout

  • coordinator or dev joins each shift's initial use for 1st 2 hours
  • high dev availability during 1st 2 weeks
