The Ionic VS Code extension (v1.8.11) has a feature to migrate from Capacitor 3 to Capacitor 4: cap4-migration

Capacitor 4 targets Android 12 (SDK 32) and iOS 13. The Google Play Store requires a minimum target of SDK 31 for existing apps by the 1st November 2022 so it's now a great time to upgrade from Capacitor 1/2/3 or to migrate from Cordova to Capacitor.
