Install Driver

  1. Turn off printer or unplug first.

  2. Double-click boca.bat from the extracted zip bocaprinterdrivers.zip

Disable Spooling

  1. Navigate Menu: Start -> Devices and Printers

  2. Double-click the Boca Printer

  3. Navigate Menu: Printer -> Properties

  4. Select Tab: Advanced

  5. Select Option: Print directly to the printer

Configure PRINTER (aka Driver) Mode

THIS IS THE PREFERRED MODE

How to change the printer from HID mode to PRINTER mode. PRINTER mode enables driver communication requiring the installation of the Boca Windows Driver software.

  1. The Factory menu can be accessed by holding down the Menu and Choices button simultaneously for about three seconds. FACTORY MENU! will appear on the display.

  2. Use the Menu/Test buttons to move forward/backward through the list of Factory Configuration Items looking for USB DEVICE TYPE.

  3. Use the Choices button to toggle between HID and PRINTER. When PRINTER is displayed press the Test button twice to select and save the change. The printer will re-initialize and install itself as an HID.

  4. You may need to delete the printer from Control Panel Device and Printers in order for computer to stop recognizing the device as HID and for it to recognize the device and match up with the Boca printer driver.

Configure HID Mode

How to change the printer from PRINTER mode to HID mode. HID mode enables direct communication without requiring the installation of any Windows Driver software.

  1. The Factory menu can be accessed by holding down the Menu and Choices button simultaneously for about three seconds. FACTORY MENU! will appear on the display.

Configure Intensity

Change the default Intensity setting to darken and improve the print quality.

  1. Press both MENU and TEST switches simultaneously for about 3 seconds (pressing MENU slightly before TEST helps avoid printing off a test by accident). The LCD window displays OPERATOR MENU.

  2. Press MENU button until you reach PRINT INTENSITY.

  3. Press CHOICES until you reach MED DARK and press TEST to select it.

  4. Press MENU until you reach EXIT AND SAVE and press TEST.
