To optimize unique data integration in the Flemish Biodiversity Portal (VBP), we recommend using the following standardized terms for the high resolution dataset version. In case the dataset contains sensitive data accessible only to authorised users, as clarified in this context on this wiki page, we create two versions of the same dataset: a low resolution version (with generalized data via the public IPT) and a high resolution version (with detailed data via the VBP IPT).

In the high resolution dataset version, the following terms must be included in both the Event.csv and Occurrence.csv files to maintain consistency across the event-based structure (with the exception of occurrenceID, which is notably only required in the occurrence extension).

occurrenceID

Required, the static three-letter code SEN must be included within the occurrenceID (in Occurrence.csv) of the high resolution dataset version (to avoid duplicate use of the occurrenceID in the low resolution dataset version).

Examples:

• MBAG:MAS:SEN:15060778 in high resolution version (instead of MBAG:MAS:15060778 in low resolution version)

• INBO:MNW:OCC:SEN:000003 in high resolution version (instead of INBO:MNW:OCC:000003 in low resolution version)

eventID

Required, the static three-letter code SEN must be included within the eventID (in both Occurrence.csv and Events.csv files) of the high resolution dataset version (to avoid duplicate use of the eventID in the low resolution dataset version).

Example:

MBAG:MAS:SEN:2018-04-05:VL0055:009 in the high resolution version (instead of MBAG:MAS:2018-04-05:VL0055:009 in the low resolution version)

NB: Possible parentEventIDs stay the same in both versions.
