Pose Combination Guide - imchillin/CMTool GitHub Wiki
There are two ways of combining emotes now, you can either use the Posing Matrix to meld several poses together, or use old timey way of combining lower and upper body emotes. Let‘s start out with the old school way of doing it.
-
Do a
/wave
emote before entering GPose. -
Choose an emote that is not on this list to set the position of the lower body. This will set everything below the belt line. Set it using „Force Animation“ menu, not „Idle Animation“.
-
Once you've reached the desired position of the lower body, „Stop Motion“ in-game (
2
by default), and set emote speed in the CMTool to 0 (Use the „Zero“ button, do not input the value or use the+
and-
buttons). -
Toggle „Stop Motion“ in-game twice to lock in the lower body position for the proceeding steps.
-
Choose an „Upper Emote“ (From the table at the bottom of this guide).
-
Toggle „Face Camera“ in-game (
Spacebar
by default) and the upper body will now pose independently. Set speed to something low (0.1 as speed is a good value). -
Once you've reached the desired position of the upper body, „Stop Motion“ in game, and set emote speed in the CMTool to 0. Do not allow these motions to complete! Your character will reset! If you‘ve gone to far, just set the speed to -0.1 to go back.
Tip Allowing an upper emote to progress to the end will reset your entire pose. If you go too far, you can set speed to negative or merely refresh the upper emote from the beginning.
That‘s it you‘ve successfully combined two emotes together. If you want to make it more advanced follow the steps in two sections below to add more complexity to the poses. „Stop Motion“ in-game twice to lock in the upper body position for advanced combining.
- Make sure emote speed in CMTool is set to 0.
- Choose an Expression emote (From table below).
- After refreshing (Toggle „Face Camera“), you can change the direction your character is facing using the in-game „Face Camera“ toggle, even if the motion you were using restricted face movement before. Do not allow these motions to complete! Your character will reset!
Emote 603 (Eyes Half Closed) can be combined with any other facial expression.
- Make sure emote speed in CMTool is set to 0.
- Choose a Speak or Head Only emote (From table below).
- After refreshing (Toggle „Face Camera“), and changing the speed to something very low, you can make it look like your character is speaking in any position, or change the way their head is tilted. Do not allow these motions to complete! Your character will reset!
A combined emote can have one of each of the following: Lower Body, Upper Body, Head Only OR Full Body, Expression, and 603 if desired.
