Within the GitHub a To Do list and a list with Bugs is provided. These are called issues and can be found in the Issues tab. A more clear overview is provided in the Projects tab.

Issues

When you have a new To Do item or a new bug, go to the Issues tab and click on New issue. Provide the title of the issue and optionally a more detailed description. On the right side of the screen, select the right project (either To Do or Bugs). Optionally you could also assign a person who is going to work on this issue and add a label.

Projects

To see the To Do and Bugs projects, go to the Projects tab and click on Projects (classic) on the left side of the screen. When you just have added a new issue, you can add the issue to the project board by clicking on Add cards(1 new):

Then you can drag the issue to the correct column, i.e. To Do, In Progress or Done.

When you start working on a issue, you can drag the issue from the To Do to the In Progress column. And when you are finished with the issue you can drag it to the Done column and you should click on the issue and then click on Close issue:
