IINA supports searching and downloading online subtitles for current playing video.
To start, just choose Subtitles > Find Online Subtitles or use IINA default shortcut ShiftCmdD. Or you can assign a custom key binding to the command @iina find-online-subs

You may choose subtitle source in Preference > Subtitle > Other > Download subtitles from.
Shooter is a popular Chinese subtitle website and it provides merely Chinese subtitles. For Chinese users, it's the best choice.
IINA will do the following steps when searching from shooter:
- Hash your local file
- Upload the hash and the full path to your file (required by shooter)
- Get all available results and download them.
To switch among downloaded subtitles, simply switch sub track in quick settings panel.
OpenSubtitles is the biggest multi-language subtitle database, according to their website.
To use OpenSubtitles, you should set your preferred subtitle language in Preference > Subtitle > Other > Preferred language. Just type the language name in English and it will auto complete the ISO 639-2 language code. You may also set multiple languages in preferred language field.

If there're more than 1 results, IINA will show a panel and ask which ones are going to be download. Please select desired subtitles and click "Download selected subtitles".
According to OpenSubtitles API, anonymous user can only download 200 times per IP per 24 hour.
To get larger download limit, you may login using your existing (VIP) OpenSubtitles account, or register a new one.
To login in IINA, click "Login" in Preference > Subtitle > Other > OpenSubtitles account. IINA will prompt your username and password, and will check whether they are valid. If logged in, IINA will save your username and password into Key Chain, and the status will become "Logged in as <username>".
When downloading subtitles, you may see the following dialog:
Please choose "Always Allow".
OpenSubtitles API may be unstable sometimes. If you encountered "Network Error", please try again.
