Panel discussion at Expert Meeting

What can we do to make Modelica more used by academia and industry.

The modeler profile of a Modelica modeler who also understands the required mechanical engineering, controls etc is not scalable. We need a huge slate of people even in academia, which is not available. Also model developers are hard to find and fund.

What could be strategies? What is missing?

How can we improve teaching Modelica in education to grow new people that eventually implement them in their tool chains.

How can we get to more tailored user interfaces? What should be separation between user-facing tools and underlying models and libraries?

Table the above for an in-person meeting.

What can we learn from other industries? Invite an external speaker? Luigi about electrical engineering and deployment. How to get it accepted, how to communicate advantages, how to get over legacy?
