🛡️ Progression System Overview
Homestead isn’t just about cozy living — it’s also about meaningful progression. We’ve carefully designed the equipment and upgrade system to give players multiple unique paths forward, whether you're grinding for powerful combat gear or just want the perfect tools for mining and building.
Rather than sticking to the default vanilla progression, Homestead introduces a layered upgrade system through a selection of carefully chosen mods that add new equipment sets, stat bonuses, and gameplay depth.
Bronze – A New Use for Copper
🟠The Bronze mod introduces a fresh and practical use for copper, offering a full set of bronze weapons, armor, and tools that provide a meaningful mid-game upgrade path.
⚙️ Tier Placement
Bronze gear sits above Iron but below Diamond, striking a balance between accessibility and performance:
- Similar armor values to Iron
- +1 Armor Toughness on all armor pieces
- 16% more durability than Iron
- The Bronze Chestplate has 1 extra armor point compared to its Iron counterpart
This makes Bronze a fantastic choice for players who want to upgrade from Iron without committing to the full grind of Diamond or beyond.
🎨 Armor Trims & Aesthetics
Bronze armor is fully compatible with Minecraft’s armor trim system, allowing you to:
- Mix and match trim patterns
- Experiment with color palettes
- Customize your look to match your base, biome, or mood
It’s not just functional — it’s also fashionable. Whether you’re roleplaying, exploring, or prepping for battle, Bronze armor lets you look good doing it.
Obsidian Equipment – A Mid-Tier Upgrade

Advanced Netherite – Tiered Late-Game Progression
🔥The Advanced Netherite mod reimagines traditional Netherite by introducing upgrade paths that combine Netherite with other materials (Iron, Gold, Diamond, etc.) to enhance or specialize your gear.
This creates an expanded late-game loop, giving you:
- More upgrade paths
- Modular improvement options
- A satisfying reason to keep grinding past Netherite
⚔️ Why This Matters
By extending the gear progression system, Homestead creates:
- More variety in PvE/PvP combat
- Meaningful long-term goals
- Tactical decisions about what armor best suits your playstyle
- Replayability and experimentation with builds, tools, and enhancements
This isn’t just about "stronger gear" — it’s about building your identity through what you wear, wield, and wield it for.
