IGN and Ciril Group are delighted to invite you to an iTowns Hackathon on March 09-10, 2026 at Ciril GROUP headquarters, 49 Av. Albert Einstein, 69100 Villeurbanne, France.

These two days will be an opportunity to discuss, program, test and learn - and above all, have a great time together! Book your place on this wiki!

We have some ideas for this hackaton, but feel free to propose a topic of your own!

• Enhancing TMS support in planar view: GitHub issue #2290
• How to improve performance: what are the key points to improve?
• Improve tile subdivision mechanism and fetching strategies
• Add perf regression tests
• Improving 3D labels rendering
• Migration to TypeScript
• Experimenting with "proof of concepts" with your data and use cases
• Check and update the doc
• Check and update the governance
• OSGeo proposal
