Hardcoded Move Effects - hzla/Pokeweb-Live GitHub Wiki

Hardcoded move effects can be viewed at /moves/effects for BW2. On the left is a list of each move with a hard coded effect and the memory address of the code associated with that move. Changes to hardcoded effects require "output_arm9" to be set to true in session_settings.json

You can edit which move has a hardcoded effect by editing a move name, and it's corresponding address.

Unfortunately, if you want to give a move an effect that is hardcoded, you will have to remove the hardcoded effect from another move. For example, I want to give the move Pound the move effect of U-Turn without replacing U-Turn.

Step 1: Find the address associated with U-Turn by looking it up on the sidebar list. (35434913)

Step 2: Choose a move to replace. (Conversion)

Step 3: Find Conversion in the editable fields and replace it with "Pound"

Step 4: Change the address of the former Conversion to the address from step 1: 35434913

Result: Pound will now use U-Turn's effect, and conversion no longer has it's old effect
