If you would like your computer to announce breaking news when it happens, follow these steps:

  1. Go to http://www.cnn.com/EMAIL/ and sign up for CNN's breaking news e-mail service.
  2. Edit the net_mail_account* parameters in your private ini file to point to your e-mail account.
  3. Enable these scripts in the common code activation web interface:
> news_email_breaking.pl > internet_mail.pl
  1. Restart Misterhouse.
That's it!

If you don't want to hear announcements about your other incoming e-mail, add this ini parameter:

speak_apps=email=>voice=none
