Since Jan 2017, the Anaconda release, it's really easy to install PiTubeDirect on your Pi:

• format SD Card to FAT32
• unzip the latest release package from here.

Next Recommended config.txt and cmdline.txt options

(If you have compiled your own custom kernel, then copy that over the top)
