AASD Servo Drive Parameter Configuration and Calibration - hoantv/CarSimulatorFirmware GitHub Wiki
At this point you should have wired up your servo drive, the motor and the controller board (the STM32 board or a TDD board).
Don’t power on your STM32 or TDD board yet.
Follow these steps to setup the parameters of the AASD servo drive:
- Engage the Estop button (press it in to ensure the motor is disengaged).
- Power on the AASD servo drive.
- Don’t plug in the controller board yet.
- Set all the parameters on the AASD servo drive to the Initial Values in the Parameters table.
- Display the current reference voltage of the servo drive using the Dn017 feature. This the “resting torque command voltage”. Take note of this number (i.e. 0.07).
- Reset the reference voltage of the AASD servo drive by doing the following: a. Unplug the DB25 cable from the servo drive. b. Run a short piece of wire between pins 13 and 25 to short the pins. c. Run the Fn007 function on the servo drive (see page 34 of the user manual).
- The parameter Pn190 is automatically updated to the correct offset for your drive’s “resting torque command voltage”. The value from Dn017 is multiplied by -10. For example, if Dn017 shows 0.07, your Pn190 should now be set to -70. This should happen automatically.
- Start the VNM Wheel Configurator app on your PC.
- Plug the controller into the PC via the micro USB port.
- Ensure that the Status of the VNM Wheel Configurator app changes from “Disconnected” to “Connected”.
- Follow the Initial Config of the VNM Wheel Configurator (Windows App) to configure the firmware.
