Here, all the investigations available will be listed. You can filter investigations using,
- Code
- Name
- Category
- Legacy Investigation Category
- Institution
- Department
Category and Legacy Investigation Category
Investigations have two category fields. Category is the current one: the edit page, the discount matrix and the lab screens use it. Legacy Investigation Category is an older field that some records still carry. Both are shown in the list for now.
When Category is blank, the system uses the Legacy Investigation Category in its place, so the investigation is still grouped and discounted correctly. To store it properly, either open and save the investigation (the legacy value is saved as its Category), or use Discount setup checks → Store as Category on Inward Discount Matrix – Services and Investigations to fix them all at once. Category blank, so the legacy value (Haematology) is used, and saving will store it as the Category.
There are 2 actions available for each investigation: edit investigation details and delete investigation.
