Lab Investigation & Service Price List

The Price List report lets authorised staff view the current prices of all investigations and services for a selected laboratory department. The prices shown are the same prices that would be charged when billing from that department.

Who Can Use This

Any user with access to Lab Analytics can view this report. No special administrative privileges are required beyond access to the Lab Analytics module.

How to Access

  1. Log in to the system.
  2. In the top navigation bar, click the flask icon (๐Ÿงช) to open the Lab menu.
  3. In the dropdown, click Lab Analytics.
  4. The Lab Analytics page opens with an accordion panel on the left side.
  5. Expand the Reference tab (the last tab in the accordion).
  6. Click Price List.

Generating the Price List

  1. On the Price List page, use the Department dropdown to select a lab department (type to filter).
  2. Click Generate.

The table will display all active investigations and services for that department with their prices.

Reading the Table

Column Description
# Row number
Name Investigation or service name
Code Short code for the item
Price The effective price for this department

You can sort any column by clicking its header, and filter by name or code using the column filter boxes.

How Prices Are Determined

The price shown is the effective billing price โ€” the same price that appears in OPD billing:

  • If your department's site has site-specific fees configured for an item, that site fee is used.
  • If no site fee is configured for an item, the base fee for that item is used as a fallback.

This means the Price List always reflects what a patient would actually be charged.

Exporting and Printing

  • Excel โ€” Click the Excel button to download the price list as a .xlsx file. The file includes the institution name, department, and a formatted price table.
  • Print โ€” Click the Print button to open the browser print dialog with a print-friendly layout.

Both buttons appear only after the table has been generated.
