LIMS Administration

This section covers all configuration tasks performed by the lab administrator — setting up investigations, configuring report formats, mapping analyzers, managing collecting centres, and maintaining master data. These tasks are performed once (or updated periodically) and determine how the lab operates day-to-day.

Investigation Master Data

Collecting Centre Administration

Bulk Operations

  • Bulk Delete Investigations — Remove multiple retired investigations at once.
  • Bulk Un-Delete Investigations — Restore previously deleted investigations.
  • Upload Investigations — Import a set of new investigations from a spreadsheet.
  • Upload Lab Items — Bulk-import investigation parameters from a file.

Access these from Menu > Admin > LIMS > Bulk Operations.

Other Configuration

  • SMS Messaging setup — configure the SMS gateway for patient notifications. See Sending SMS Notifications.
  • Lab setup — institution-level lab settings (department assignments, default lab, etc.).
