Channel Display Board
The Channel Display Board is a screen designed to be shown on a television or large monitor in the patient waiting area. It displays the current queue status — which patient is being seen now and who is next — so patients know when to go to the consulting room.
Navigation
Menu → Channelling → Channel Display
Requires the ChannellingChannelBooking privilege.
This page is intended to be opened on a dedicated display device (a PC or tablet connected to a TV/monitor in the waiting area) and left running throughout the session.
What the Display Shows
The display board typically shows:
| Section | Content |
|---|---|
| Session header | Consultant name, speciality, date and time |
| Now Being Seen | The serial number / token of the patient currently with the consultant |
| Next | The serial number / token of the patient about to be called |
| Queue | List of remaining patients waiting |
| Completed count | Number of patients seen so far |
The display updates automatically in line with queue actions taken on the Channel Queue screen.
Full-Screen Mode
The display board supports full-screen mode. Click the screen title or a dedicated full-screen button (if available) to enter full-screen, removing browser chrome for a cleaner presentation on a TV.
Multiple Consulting Rooms
If your facility has multiple consultants running sessions simultaneously, each consulting room should have its own display board open, filtered to that room's session. Open the display for each session separately on the relevant screen.
Audio Announcements
Some configurations enable audio announcements when the next patient is called. This is controlled by system-level settings. Contact your administrator if audio calling is required.
