Staff Management Overview

Overview

The Staff Management module is the master data system for all people who work at the institution — doctors, consultants, nurses, pharmacists, administrative staff, and any other clinical or non-clinical personnel. Staff records are linked to user accounts, appear on bills and prescriptions, and drive channelling schedules, professional fee calculations, and HR workflows.

Navigating to Staff Management

  1. Click Administration in the main menu
  2. Click Manage Staff
  3. The Manage Staff index page opens with a left-side navigation panel

Required privilege: AdminStaff

Staff Management Index — Navigation Sections

The index is organised into four accordion sections:

Button What It Opens
Doctor Specialities Manage the list of doctor-speciality mappings (which doctor works in which speciality)
All Specialities Manage the master list of medical specialities

Staff

Button What It Opens
Add New Staff Form to create a new staff member
Staff List Full list of all staff members
Doctors (Excluding Consultants) Filter view: doctors who are not consultants
Doctors (Including Consultants) Filter view: all doctors including consultants
Consultant Manage consultant records specifically
Other Staff Non-doctor staff only
Doctors & Staff Combined view of all staff
View Staff Signatures Browse uploaded staff signatures
Add Signature for Staff Upload a digital signature for a staff member

Manage

Adjust Staff Welfare Eligibility Review and adjust welfare entitlement amounts for staff

Setup

Button What It Opens
Upload Consultants Bulk upload consultant data from a spreadsheet
Upload Doctors Bulk upload doctor data
Upload Staff Bulk upload all staff types
Connect Staff to User Link staff records to user login accounts
Staff List Alternative staff list view
Add Channelling Consultants to Institutions Assign consultants to institution-level channelling
Bulk Delete Staff Remove multiple staff records at once

Staff Record Fields

Each staff member has:

  • Personal Details: Name, code, NIC/Passport, full name, name with initials, initials, surname, date of birth (year range 1900 – present)
  • Contact Details: Address, fax, email, mobile, phone
  • Employment Details: Status, date joined, registration number, qualification, designation, staff category, order number, description, speciality, institution, department
  • Welfare: Credit limit qualified, current credit value, annual welfare qualified/utilized
  • Leave: Overtime/no-pay thresholds, leave type permissions
