Admin — Inpatient EHR Discharge Conditions
Discharge Conditions are the configurable list of patient status values that can be recorded at clinical discharge — for example, Improved, Cured, LAMA (Left Against Medical Advice), Referred, Expired. They appear as an auto-complete field on the Clinical Discharge page.

Managing Discharge Conditions
The page shows a list of all currently configured discharge conditions. Each condition has:
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Name | Display name (e.g., "Improved", "Expired", "LAMA") |
| Code | Short code used in reports |
| Active | Toggle to deactivate without deleting |
Use Add to create a new condition, Edit to modify an existing one, and Delete (or deactivate) to remove one.
Where Discharge Conditions Are Used
- Clinical Discharge page — the clinician selects a condition from the auto-complete when recording clinical discharge. See Inpatient EHR — Clinical Discharge.
- Discharge Book report — discharge conditions can be used as a filter to count discharges by condition (e.g., number of LAMA discharges in a period).
- Diagnosis Card — the discharge condition may appear on printed discharge documents.
