What is artoolkitX?
artoolkitX is a collection of software tools to help solve some of the fundamental problems in augmented reality, including geometric and photometric registration.
(Geometric registration means aligning the position of the virtual environment with the actual environment, and photometric registration means matching the appearance of objects in the virtual environment to the actual environment.)
With a 17-year development pedigree, artoolkitX has a large existing user base and a storied history. artoolkitX is a major revision of the tools, and brings a new level of ease-of-use, refinement, and quality while retaining a familiar and accessible approach to a software development kit (SDK).
