(Windows Only) Prerequisite Steps:

1. ) Navigate to your computer’s Control Panel.

2. ) Change your View By: from View By: Category to View By: Large Icons.

3. ) Find File Explorer Options and click it.

4. ) Once File Explorer Options is open, navigate to the View tab.

5. ) Under Advanced Settings scroll down until you find Hide extensions for known file types and make sure the box is not checked.

6. ) Click on the Apply button in the lower right corner of the File Explorer Options window.

Actually Giving Gifts:

1. ) Navigate to your Doki Doki Literature Club folder and locate the characters/ folder.

2. ) Right click in the folder with nothing selected, navigate down until you find New, click Text Document. At this point you should have a new file in the folder named New Text Document.txt.

3. ) Right click on the New Text Document.txt and navigate down the menu until you find Rename and click it.

4. ) At this point New Text Document should be highlighted, replace New Text Document.txt with the name of the gift(Or Gift ID) you want to give Monika, making sure that it ends with .gift.

5. ) When it asks if you want to change the file's extension, hit Yes.

Going based off of the information prior to this point, we'll be giving the Red Ribbon gift. This is how it should look:

If it looks like this, then it will not work, make sure you have Hide extensions for known file types unchecked and applied.

Now open Monika After Story. If everything was done right, this should happen:
