Usage guide for Wumiibo and WumiiboHelper - hax0kartik/wumiibo GitHub Wiki
Welcome to the usage guide for Wumiibo/WumiiboHelper!
This guide assumes that you have already installed WumiiboHelper using FBI.
You can always find latest version of WumiiboHelper on the releases page
Before getting started, it is important to know some common stuff about Wumiibo:-
-
Wumiibo and WumiiboHelper are two different apps.
- WumiiboHelper is the front facing app that you installed using FBI.
- Wumiibo is the actual module which runs in the background.
-
Wumiibo is a rewrite of the
NFC
module and only supports amiibo bins, i.e., it does not support scanning real figurines. If you want to use your real figurines, disable wumiibo. -
Although technically all games which have amiibo support are compatible with wumiibo, some behave a bit finicky.
- Some games tend to crash/freeze when wumiibo menu is closed. For such games use the workaround mentioned later in this page.

Registering your amiibos with Amiibo Settings
While this step is not necessary for all games, it is better if done. Some games will not work if this step is not attempted. The following steps assume you know the titleid of the game for which you generated the amiibos. You can use 3dsdb/FBI/Whatever method to check the tid of your game.

Using your real figurines
"Okay that's great and all, but now I want to use my real figurines." Got you covered as well. Do the following steps:-
- Open the wumiibohelper app.
- Scroll Down and Select the
Toggle Wumiibo State
option. - Wumiibo should now be disabled and you'll be able to use your real figurines now.
- Incase you want to use Wumiibo again, repeat the same steps and Wumiibo will get enabled.
Workaround
Some games have a tendency to lag/freeze/crash when Wumiibo Menu is closed. As a workaround, we'll put the app in background by pressing the home button and then select our amiibo.
- After you have opened your game, press home button.
- Open wumiibo menu and choose what you want to do.
- Open the game again.
