Installation of Virtual Box and ISO file:

  1. Start with downloading the latest version of Oracle VM VirtualBox from HERE.
  2. Then start the installation procedure after it has been downloaded and choose where to save it.
  3. Download all the required packages if asked and continue till the entire installation is completed.
  4. Once it is installed, you may need to reboot your laptop or PC.

After Installing the VM, download the windows as follows:

  1. Download the Windows 10 ISO from HERE.
  2. You must first download the Media Creation Tool before an OS image can be downloaded. You can use this tool to locally create an ISO file.
  3. Launch the VM application, Select "New," then give your virtual machine a name. Ensure that both "Type" and "Version" are set to "Microsoft Windows" and "Windows 10," respectively.
  4. Be sure to pair the x86 version with a 32-bit virtual machine and the x64 version with a 64-bit virtual machine.
  5. You will need to allocate RAM to this VM. Whatever you allocate, make sure you stay in the green. Inadequate RAM allocation will result in significant performance problems.
  6. The next step is to build a virtual drive.(According to Microsoft, the 32-bit version requires a minimum of 16GB of space, whereas the 64-bit version needs a minimum of 20GB).Make sure your physical hard drive has enough space to accommodate the size of your virtual drive.
  7. Now Locate the Windows 10 ISO. Delve into this virtual machine's settings and select the "Storage" tab. Next to "Controller: SATA," click the disc icon with a green plus sign. Locate the Windows 10 ISO you downloaded earlier, then click "Choose disk."
  8. Once everything is set up, click "Start" in VirtualBox to launch the Windows 10 installation procedure. You're on the right track if you follow the instructions on the screen.
  9. You must install all necessary VirtualBox drivers after reaching the Windows 10 desktop. Select "Insert Guest Additions CD image" under "Devices" in the VirtualBox UI. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to that disc image to launch the installer.
  10. Once you’ve gone through the entire process, you’ll need to reboot the VM.
