  • Windows and OS/2 versions
• Write support
• Native javax_imageio_bmp_1.0 and standard metadata format

ICO & CUR - MS Windows Icon and Cursor Formats

• Read support for the following file types:
  • ICO Indexed color, 1, 4 and 8 bit
  • ICO RGB, 16, 24 and 32 bit
  • CUR Indexed color, 1, 4 and 8 bit
  • CUR RGB, 16, 24 and 32 bit
• ICO Write support
  • Currently only supports TYPE_4BYTE_ABGR (work in progress to support more types)
  • Note: The format itself can only store images up to 256x256 in size (this is a limitation of the format, not the plugin). For best compatibility, dimensions should be a multiple of 2. Standard sizes are 16x16, 24x24, 32x32, 64x64 and 256x256.
