To get around the speed problems of the RA8875 controller in the old LCD I went looking for something more "raw".

After a while I found the HY070CTP-HD from Haoyu Electronics. It's a 7-inch 1024x600 display with a RGB interface. It also has the same FT5206 touch controller as the other LCD.

The idea is to interface this LCD to a STM32F429 that has an built-in LCD controller. I'm going to buy a STM32F429 Discovery to try out the interfacing with the LCD.
