Where to Direct Questions and Answers - hackforla/tdm-calculator GitHub Wiki
Note: Questions and answers should be posted in their own individual comments so that they can be specifically referenced and hidden by other users.
To ask a question:
- Ask the question in a comment in the relevant issue.
- If your question is specific to an open issue, post it in that issue.
- Otherwise, post it in Get your Team Questions Answered here #1938 .
- Move the issue to the Questions/Clarifications column on the GitHub project board.
- Add the appropriate "Ready for [department lead-project]" label for the department that your question is directed toward. See Wiki: Ready for Labels for label list and instructions on usage
To give an answer:
- Reply to the question in a separate comment within the same issue. Tag the question asker's GitHub handle in the comment.
- Remove the "Ready for [department lead-project]" tag that was associated with your department.
- Move the issue back to the appropriate column on the GitHub board.
If you are a lead and want to discuss the answer with your team, add it to your Team Meeting Agenda in the New Items section.
If you can’t answer a question because you don't have enough information from the person:
- Write back to them in the issue.
- Remove the "Ready for [department lead-project]" label.
- Place the issue in the In Progress column.
If you don't have the answer and you need a TDM lead to answer it:
- Remove the "Ready for [department lead-project]" label.
- Add a label associated with the TDM lead:
- ready for product
- ready for research lead
- ready for dev lead
- ready for design lead
Once your question has been answered:
- If the issue isn't Get your Team Questions Answered here #1938 and the posted answer adds or updates information pertinent to the issue, update the issue's description with that information.
- If the posted answer would be useful to future volunteers, beyond its utility in this issue, add its information to where it would be relevant in the wiki.
