Issue
- #1663: Research EPIC: Usability Testing - My Projects page
- #2058: Design: Make "Restore from Trash" more discoverable
- #2908: Research EPIC: Retest Delete/Restore Function on the My Projects Page
Problem Statement
During the RP005: My Projects Page Usability Testing the UXR team discovered that 58% users who were tasked with restoring a deleted project on the My Projects page either failed to complete the task within 2 minutes or abandoned the task all together.
Potential Solution
As a result of the user responses in the RP005 testing, the UXR team recommended new designs be created and tested to ensure that users were able to complete the desired action of restoring a deleted project on the My Projects page.
Feasibility Determination
The additional testing of the new designs will minorly impact the UXR team and is highly feasible, as the testing is for a specific feature and therefore, will have a minimal script. Additionally, the testing is a follow-up to a previous round of testing (RP005), and therefore, the result analysis will include comparing previous responses to the "restore from trash" feature to the more updated designs test in the re-testing. The only potential obstacle to the completion of this testing is time because the UXR team may not be able to complete testing before the product is handed off to LADOT. This is the only foreseeable reasoning for this testing not to be completed.
