Press space during launch for Boot Menu and put the USB in the top blue port.
You can run alpine for micro-services which would work just as intended. Altho, I have found little success with GUI.
Running KDE on Arm
In the armbian section of OSes you will find a light version of Neon (again KDE) to get as close as the K2 experience :) Most of the logic applies the same, but will not be running on Alpine.

I like to flash it directly as a live system to either NVMe (using an adapter) or to a USB. Then all I need to do is walk through the base installer and run another k2 script made specfically for Debian.
