LAB 31 ::‐ Checking connectivity with telnet (port 22). - guptasanjeev-52/oci_docs GitHub Wiki

welcome..

**TELNET **::- It's an combination of PVT IP + PORT NO. (Used to check the connectivity on the different servers with the help of the Private IP & Port.)

First login into the PUBLIC SERVER then with the help of instance BASTION_SERVER1 we are logging into the PRIVATE SUBNETS.

Everything is only for the Private Instance in the private Subnets.

Firstly we have to create an instance bastion_server1 in the public subnet. Now, we are going to create New Instance amazon_server in the private subnet to test TCP connectivity on Port 22 of this instance from bastion_server-01 using the Telnet.

PING Not Working...

So, Now we are Allowing Required Protocols in Security List..

Checking Basic Network Connectivity...

Using ping to verify that the Bastion_Server1 (Jump server) can reach the Amazon_server (private instance). 0% packet loss

Now, Installing Telnet...

first Add rule in Security List of PUBLIC SUBNET...

In EGRESS RULE..

yum install telnet

Now we will run

telnet 10.0.1.205 22

to test TCP connectivity on Port 22 of amazon_server, which will verify login into the amazon_server.

Connection Successful..

THANKYOU !
