Firstly open the OCI console and then follw the guide step by step...

Burger menu >>> Observability & Management >>> Alarm Definitions (under Monitoring) >>> Create alarm

Second Step...

Burger menu >>> Compute >>> Instances >>> instance details >>> Monitoring >>> CPU/Memory Utilization >>> Actions

Creating Alarm for CPU Utilization.

** 1.) Fill up the Alarm name & Alarm summary & select the Creation (BASIC) Mode.**

2.) Fill up the metric description.

**3.) Fill up Trigger rule 1. **

4.) Fill up Define alarm notification. select (ALWAYS) ROOT COMPARTMENT.

**5.) Select group notification and Send formatted messages. **

6.) Enable the Alarm and review the details and Create IT..

Creating Alarm for Memory Utilization.

** 1.) Fill up the Alarm name & Alarm summary & select the Creation (BASIC) Mode.**

2.) Fill up the metric description.

**3.) Fill up Trigger rule 1. **

4.) Fill up Define alarm notification. select (ALWAYS) ROOT COMPARTMENT.

5.) Select group notification and Send formatted messages.

6.) Enable the Alarm and review the details and Create IT.

when you receive notication regarding high utilization?

Firstly watch the matrics... or immediately you can increase the NO.of CPU's and Memory of INSTANCE..

SCROLL DOWN & CLICK ON THE SELECTED FLEX SHAPE Increase Number of OCPUs or Amount of memory as required

CLICK ON THE {SAVE CHANGES} & REBOOT the INSTANCES.
