** A Notification is a message sent by OCI to inform users about an event , warning or status change..** (Alert / Message ) that tells you something important has happened in your OCI Resources.

EX::- If a Computer instance is stopped or CPU usage becomes vey High , OCI can send a notification to your Email / SMS to inform you...

TOPICS...

**A TOPIC is a place where OCI sends message to everyone who has subscribed to it...**

**EX::- suppose you Create a Topic called " SERVER ALERTS ". If your server stops working , OCI sends a message to the SERVER ALERTS topic and everyone **

    **subscribed to that topic receives the Alert..**

CREATING TOPIC

1.) On the Notifications page navigate to Topics section and click Create topic

2.) On the Create topic page enter Topic Name & Description & (always) select Root compartment, and click on create.

TOPIC CREATED...

Creating Subscription..

1.) On the Notifications page navigate to Subscriptions section and click Create subscription

2.) On the Create subscription page select Subscription topic

3.) Select Protocol and fill up...(Click Create at the bottom)

4.) Now, confirm subscription on your Email id...

5.) Subscription is created..
