Welcome to the DroidJoy server wiki!

The DroidJoy server is an application for Windows 7 or higher. You can emulate DInput and XInput gamepads with this server.

To control the virtual gamepads you have to download the Android DroidJoy Client. It is available for Android 5.0. and higher. There are currently two versions available, a free lite version with limited features and a fully functional promo version:

Requiremnts

• Windows 7 or newer
• Windows Xbox 360 driver (already included on Windows 8 or newer)
• Administrator permissions to install server

Recommendations

• Administrator permissions to start server (possible without, but not all features will work)
• Remove any other Software which uses drivers like vJoy or ScpVbus to avoid conflicts

Gamepad types

There are basically two gamepad types available on the market which are DInput and XInput devices. DInput devices are generic gamepads which has to be calibrated in the game before you can use them. XInput devices are basically Xbox 360 gamepads which do not need to be calibrated.

Modern games and nearly all games on Steam just support XInput devices which means they do not recognize any other gamepads like DInput devices. With the new DroidJoy server you are now finally able to emulate XInput gamepads out of the box. Just go to the specific "Gamepad" Tab and check the "XInput" checkbox. Don't forget to click "Save Config" afterwards.

Please note: for the XInput emulation you need the latest Windows Xbox 360 driver. If you are using Windows 8 or any newer Windows version this driver is already included in your OS. Otherwise you have to download the newest driver from the official Windows homepage and install it on your PC.

Game support

The new DroidJoy server 2.0.0 is able to emulate XInput and DInput gamepads. Which means you can play any kind of game which supports gamepad inputs. Please note, if one of your game doesn't recognize the virtual gamepad it is most likely that it doesn't support DInput gamepads. Try to unplug any physically attached gamepad from your PC, restart the DroidJoy server and configure the virtual gamepad you want to control as XInput device. Restart your game and check if it is working now.
