In the global web of programming and hacking, tcp port 1337 from my research is a notorious port used by hackers. Mainly found to be running Malware known as Shadyshell or other such applications. This takes place on this port because 1337 means "elite" in internet hacker/cracker spelling (1=L, 3=E, 7=T, "LEET"="ELITE"). Because of the reference, many used this port over the years as backdoors into devices and servers. Basically, it's the reason 1337 is a meme in relation the "elite hacker skills" seen in movies and tv in the modern era.
