Description

Clients who have at least one indefinite and impairing disability, are currently experiencing homelessness and have been in a project at least 12 of the last 36 months. Calculated using HMIS data.

The Potentially Chronic Clients Report uses the Simple Universe Selection.

Calculation Notes

• The calculation of a client's chronic status follows one developed by the city of Boston in roughly 2016. This calculation looks at HMIS data only (not self-reported) when determining if a client has 4 or more episodes of homelessness and was homeless in 12 of the last 36 months.
• Data for the chronic calculation is collected from the entire installation and may expand beyond what a given user is able to see
