Summary

The purpose of this document is to provide instruction on managing Organizations in HMIS. This includes a basic overview and details on adding, editing, closing, and deleting Organizations.

Organization Overview

Organizations are accessed by clicking on the Projects tab in the top menu. Organization details include:

  • Organization Name (2.01)
  • Description - An open field used to describe the organization.
  • Contact Information - An open field used to include any pertinent contact information, such as contact name, address, or phone number. Confirm with your CoC if specific contact information is required for your HMIS.
  • Victim Service Provider (2.01)

Adding an Organization

  1. Navigate to the Projects page from the top menu and click + Add Organization.

  1. Complete the Create a new organization form that now appears in the window and click Create Organization once complete

  1. The organization is now created and is given a unique Organization Identifier. From the Organization page you have the option to Edit Organization and Add Projects.

Deleting an Organization

Users must be assigned the correct permissions in order to access the delete option for organizations. Keep in mind that deleting projects removes all associated organization details, projects attached to the organizations, and enrollments tied to projects at the organization. Once an organization is deleted, the action cannot be undone.

  1. Navigate to the Organization you would like to delete and click Edit Organization.

  2. Click Delete Organization.

  1. The Organization is now deleted from HMIS.
