Additive Universe Selection - greenriver/hmis-warehouse GitHub Wiki
Reports using the Additive Universe Selection use two sets of filters to run a report. The first filterset includes:
- Date - This may include a Start Date, End Date, and Comparison Period.
- CoC Code(s) - Limits results to specific CoC(s). The CoC filter may be hidden if the warehouse does not operate across CoCs.

The second filterset is the Projects to Include which is limited by the CoC selection. This prevents projects from outside the CoC from being selected. The selection of Projects to Include are additive, meaning that if a single project and project type is selected, the report will run for all projects in the project type and the chosen project. The Projects to Include are filtered by:
- Projects
- Organizations
- Data Sources
- Project Groups
- Project Types
The available projects, project types, and project groups may be limited by the calculations used in the report. For example, the CoC Performance Measurement Report limits projects to those used in the backing SPM (ES, SO, SH, TH, and PH) and does not include projects such as CE as a selection option.
Based on the filter selections a list of Projects Included is displayed next to the Projects to Include filters.

Some reports with the Additive Universe Selection can be further limited by Funding Source or Household. Selecting a limit such as Funding Source will also determine which Projects or clients are Included.
