Operation Manual

These steps of the operation manual assume that the circuit is working appropriately and has minimal bugs that don't affect the charging of the lipo battery.

  1. Place your 10-12V solar panel in direct sunlight
  2. Connect your solar panel to the charging circuit
  3. Connect your 2s 7.4V lipo battery to the charging circuit (the STAT1 LED should light up to indicate charge is in progress)
  4. Leave charging until the battery charge is complete (8.4V) indicated when the STAT2 LED lights up and the STAT1 LED turns off.
  5. If charging criteria are not met - such as if the voltage supplied by the solar panel is less than that of the battery, the the charger should enter its SLEEP mode - indicated when both STAT1 and STAT2 LEDs are turned off.

If your panel is not behaving properly, try checking the Issues tab and see if I have found a solution to that problem already.
