Hardware - gpeipman/TemperatureStation GitHub Wiki
This page describer hardware part of my solution. For those who feel like home with electronics, things should be very easy. For those who are new to electronics things are not so easy. I was lazy and used simple shortcut - friend who works in industry automation. For him it was piece of cake to get all things connected.
I used the following electronics to build this solution:
- RaspberryPi 2
- DS18B20 thermal sensor (two pieces)
- DS2482-100
- MS-DIP/SO10
- 4.7 KΩ resistor
To connect components together one can use excellect guide by Thomas Greno: Thermal sensor connected via I2C. The most important diagram is shown here:

It is possible to add even more sensors to Raspberry this way. If needed one can build up also station with let's say 30 thermal sensors.
The photo below shows the device with sensors. This lightgrey box there is to protect electronics and connections so I can take device with sensors to conferences if it doesn't have to measure something important. Also it protects all small parts from rough weather conditions because I use this solution also outside.

It's good idea to keep this lightgrey box closed, specially when measuring something outside in very cold weather. Keep electronics away from rain, snow, wind and direct sun light.
