Step 1: Request. For active GROUSE users, you can submit GROUSE Data Export Request for downaloding aggregated results from GROUSE.
- Go to GROUSE Ongoing Request Form:

- Select Data Export Request as the request type and complete the form
Step 2: Review. GROUSE Honest Broker will review and approve/deny the request (1 - 3 business days) or reach out for additional information.
Step 3: Fulfillment. Upon apoproval of the request, a designated Data Export REDCap project will be created where exported files will be stored in encrypted format. If you are eligible for "self-service data export", additional instructions will be communicated along with a pre-defined password for file encryption.
Upon approval, the study team may be granted with data export priviledge which bypassing GROUSE Honest Broker. The self-service data export process is as follows:

Privacy Check. Confirm that there is no sensitive information (e.g. password) or patient-level, line-item data in the files to be exported.

Compression and Encryption. Use 7z encrypt to compress and encrypt file or folder (for multiple files) to be exported. As shown in the figure below,
- Right click the selected file or folder and select PeaZip from the drop-down menu
- Select 7z encrypt option which will prompt you to a password input window
- Put in the password assigned by GROUSE honest broker and an encrypted 7z file will be created

Submission to REDCap. From within your workspace, use one of the web browsers (Firefox, Chrome or Edge) and nevigate to the designated Data-Export REDCap project created by Honest Broker:
- REDCap uses InCommon federated authentication, you can login using your university credentials
- Go to My Projects and go to the Data-Export project
- Upload the 7z-enrypted file to the File Reposiroty.
- You may consider following certain naming convention for easy management if multiple exports are anticipated.
Remark: Access to the Data Export REDCap project is restricted to at most 2 members from the study team for security reasons.
