Flight

In order to get around in the skyblock Overworld, flight is quite useful. The Gnomecraft Skyblock modpack provides a couple of extra options for better-than-vanilla flight.

Elytra

The usual vanilla flight option, elytra are available and work like they do in vanilla. However, via the Trinkets and Elytra Slot mods, both Elytra and Icarus wings (below) can be equipped simultaneously with chest armor.

Immersive Aircraft

Immersive Aircraft provides several craftable aircraft options, with different strengths and weaknesses. They are less expensive, and better suited to mid-game flight. The quadcopter is a quite reliably option for builders. Airships can be fitted with chests for item movement between sky islands. And the biplane is a fast ride.

Icarus

Icarus includes a variety of elytra-based powered wings, enabling the player to fly like with elytra but without requiring rockets. All require an elytra for their recipe, and the more durable, powerful models require other more expensive ingredients. Arguably, these are the best end-game equipment.
